"Three and a half years ago, we welcomed a working-line German Shepherd into our family. We knew we were jumping straight into the deep end, as we had no prior experience in training a dog. From the beginning, we decided that we would put in the work and seek help whenever needed.

We prepared carefully for the puppy’s arrival, attended puppy classes, and joined a local dog club, but after the puppy stage we still faced challenges in everyday life that required professional guidance.

With Sanni’s help, we were able to solve issues such as leash reactivity, managing situations with visitors, and other typical challenges that an energetic, intense dog can easily bring along. What we appreciated most was her modern, reward-based approach to training—gentle, effective, and at the same time firm enough for an active and powerful dog. I have often thought that my dog is a Ferrari and I only have a license for a Lada. With Sanni’s guidance, I finally began to feel confident and capable. Thanks to her, we have not only taught our dog solid foundational skills but also built a strong, trusting relationship.

My spouse attended Sanni’s BH course with our dog and, with a lot of training, the dog passed the BH test (Begleithundprüfung / Companion Dog Test) at the age of three. In addition, I am practicing scent work with our dog under Sanni’s instruction. It has become an important part of our daily routine and a special shared activity for us. It is a fantastic sport—both mentally engaging and rewarding for the dog, and a great way for us to work together and strengthen our bond. Our dog loves it and clearly has a natural talent for sniffing and searching. I’ve also felt a real sense of accomplishment as I’ve learned how to teach the dog to identify and confidently indicate her findings. Sanni’s expertise in scent work is outstanding.

We are immensely grateful for Sanni’s skill, support, and enthusiasm. Without her, we would not be where we are today with our dog. It’s such a pleasure to walk in the city with a dog who behaves well, checks in with me, and pays attention to what I say. These days, we can even take the tram or the bus with no trouble at all!
